Spooky success

Spooky Parade is back!

After the success of Spooky Parade last year CSV Out2Play are working with community groups and local residents to deliver another week of Halloween fun in Hartcliffe and Withywood.

There will be arts workshops including making fancy dress, bike decor and creating puppets for the parade run by our Play Rangers 12-4pm Monday – Thursday building up to the parade on Halloween – Sunday 31st October.

Monday 25th Oct and Wednesday 27th Oct – Willmott Park with the Big P on Wedneday

Tuesday 26th Oct and Thurs 28th Oct – Withywood Park

Sunday 31st Oct the Parade starts at 5pm at the Rising Sun carpark on Queens Rd and will wind its way to the bonfire in Willmott Park at 7pm, there will also be a free family disco at the youth club from 7.30-9pm

Summer successes


PlayRangers enjoying PLAYDAY


CSV Out2Play have had a brilliant summer running Forest Skills, green arts and Puzzle Island days with holiday playschemes and organised many Playdays.


Adventure net play


The Play Rangers delivered playdays in Knowle West, Hartcliffe and Withywood as well as being part of Bristol’s massive PLAYDAY on College Green. Children had the opportunity to take part in giant water play, cardboard city, carving, adventure swings and nets, making fancy dress and much more……

We had fun, hope you did too!!

Forest Skills and Puzzle Island workshops

After the success of the recent workshops aimed at increasing Playworker’s skills, CSV Out2Play are running more in September 2010.

Tuesday 28th 10-1pm Forest Skills to be held in a woodland at our new site in Dundry, South Bristol

Thursday 30th 10-1pm Puzzle Island to be held at Lampton Gardens in Hartcliffe, South Bristol

CSV Out2Play part of Bristol Cycle Festival 2010

Out2Play’s Play Rangers are working with APE Project for the next 2 weeks as part of the Bristol Cycle Festival.  There will be free bike related activities for young people during Play Ranger sessions in Hartcliffe and Withywoood between 3 and 5.30pm:

Mon 13th Sept: Spin painting tricycle at Willmotte Park
Wed15th Sept:  Decorate APE project tricycle and kids own bikes at Withywood Park
Thurs 17th Sept: Decorate APE project tricycle and kids own bikes at Withywood Park
Wed 22nd Sept:  Spin painting tricycle at Withywood park
Thurs 23rd Sept:  Crazy bikes at Withywood Park

The Play Rangers will be encouraging young people to take their decorated bikes to the Freewheelin’ Carnival on Sunday September 19th in Queens Square, Bristol to join the APE Project decorated tricycle in the UK’s first dedicated pedal-powered carnival. To find out more go to

CSV Out2Play Playdays 2010

Our Play Rangers are offering playdays this summer in Hartcliffe, Withywood, Stockwood and Knowle West. The days run 12-4pm, they are open to everyone, there is no charge and activities will be accessable to all ages and abilities.  Sessions will offer adventure play, arts and crafts, water play, sports, spin painting, cardboard city, giant games and much more.
