CSV PLAY RANGERS EASTER PROGRAM IN SOUTH BRISTOL!
Monday 7th April – The Groves, Hartcliffe 10-12 and Newquay Rd park, Knowle West 1.30-4pm
Tuesday 8th April – Cottle Rd Park, Stockwood 12-3pm and with LPW @ Dame Emily park, Dean Lane, Bedminster 3-5pm
Wednesday 9th April – Big P in partnership with LPW @ , Willmott park pod, Moxham Drive and Hareclive YC, Hartcliffe 12-4pm    including a walking bus from Withywood Park at middayÂ
Thursday 10th April – Headley Lane Park, Headley Park 12-4pm
Monday 14th April – Withywood Park Pod, Kebal Ave 10-12am and KW Health Park, Downton Avenu, Knowle West 1.30-4pm
Tuesday 15th April – Willmott Park, Fulford Rd end, Hartcliffe 11-1pm and The Groves, Hartcliffe 2-4pm and with LPW @ Dame Emily park, Dean Lane, Bedminster 3-5pm
Wednesday 16th April – Big P in partnership with LPW @ Willmott park pod, Moxham Drive and Hareclive YC, Hartcliffe 12-4pm
Thursday 17th April – Gerrard Close clean up, Knowle West 11-1pm and Broomhill park, Eastwood Rd, Brislington 2-5pm
ALL EVENTS ARE HELD IN PARKS, ARE FREE AND OPEN TO CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. COME AND HAVE FUN MAKING EASTER CREATIONS, RUNNING AROUND AND FINDING THE ODD EASTER EGG!!!

A big THANK YOU to Avon and Somerset police for their donation of high vis jackets to help with our Walking Play Ranger project…
CSV Out2Play walk children from school to Play Ranger sessions to encourage healthy play and help cut car congestion outside school gate at pick up time.
Also thanks to the PCSO for dropping off the high vis jackets and then staying to play with the kids ☺

The children and young people at the Groves in Hartcliffe helped make an excellent film last year about the work that the CSV Play Rangers do in their local green space.

Walking Play Ranger

We are looking for an exciting and innovative person to work as a part of our CSV ‘Out to Play’ team based in south Bristol. The Walking Play Ranger will be responsible for walking children from a local school to an outdoor free play session with the aim of combating car congestion outside schools and increasing physical exercise in children. You will oversee and deliver the project working closely with the Play team at CSV as well as schools and families.
A NVQ Level 3 Play Work, teaching qualification or equivalent is required, together with an excellent range of practical skills and a thorough understanding of best practice in risk management and child protection.
A CRB disclosure will be required for the successful applicant.
Closing date: Â 4th November 2013
Interviews: 6th November 2013
Funding for this post is currently secured until 31 March 2015.

Play Ranger session are free and open to families, all ages and abilities but children under 8 need to be accompanied by an adult or older sibling. Play Rangers provide fun, challenging and healthy play in open green spaces and parks. We bring a range of activities from sports to crafts, offering safe risk-taking such as cooking on fires and making rope-swings. Play Rangers do not take responsibility for children coming and going however we are responsible for making the activities as safe as possible and we will not tolerate any bullying, racism or any form of prejudice.

Are you an enthusiastic and professional outdoor play worker?
Join our fantastic PLAY AND LEARNING team in South Bristol.
You will be working in parks, green spaces and woodlands offering free quality play, sports and activities to children and young people.
We are looking for casual sessional workers to join our bank team and work alongside our permanent staff to deliver extra work we receive. Most of the work is after-school time and in the school holidays.
You should have a level 2 Playwork qualification or similar with experience of working with children or young people. You must be well organised and good at working in a team.
Appropriate checks will be required for this post.

Salary £7.02 – £8.64 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience.)
